  1. I read this book and it wasn't what I expected. I got it from the library so there was no money lost. She basically sheds light on job hunting, resume coaches/writers, professional coaching, networking, etc. Her experiment back fires on her though...
  2. I read it and it was pretty good. The ending was kind of weird in the sense.... well, I won't spoil it for those that are reading it or plan to read it. Its a good book, a wake call to some.
  3. Right now I'm reading: Confessions of a Video Vixen by Karrine Steffans with The Interupption of Everything by Terry McMillian and Harry Potter and the Half-Blooded Prince next in queue.
  4. I think he did it to spite the church, basically trying to pull a fast one on them. In Dan Brown's other book, Angel and Demons, one of the artists mentioned in the book created a painting of a saint "supposedly" have an orgasm with an angel standing over her. I believe its The Passion or Ectasy (sp?) of St. Theresa. I really need to read Da Vinci Decoded.
  5. Don't forget that the Mona Lisa is a self portrait of Da Vinci He was rumored to be gay and that's why s/he is smiling. In the book there should also be a sketched version (self portrait) of Da Vinci where you can compare the pics.
  6. When I first seen it, I didn't think anything of it, but the book pointed out some things that could be taken the wrong way. BTW, do you have the special edition book? If not, do a search for both pics to see the difference. Anyway, the original was thought to be offensive since it depicted the other baby (I believe John) as the most favored over Jesus. Also, Mary's hands seems to be giving someone or things the "off with your head" gesture. The author also mentioned the scenary and how it seemed to be dreary and unfit for Mary and Jesus. Again, at first glance, it just looks like a painting, kind of like The Mona Lisa.
